Finding the cheer

2020 has not been the most wonderful year. A lot has been going wrong and people are having a hard time. The hard times arent restricted to any one thing either … it could be financial, emotional, physical. Some people are coping, others arent. Some are trying to cope, while others arent sure what they are doing.

In any case, I think people are having a hard time being positive but are doing their best to put on a brave face. Many parents (myself included) are having a hard time with the idea of back to school. Kids are having a hard time with the new normal for school. Some people are having a hard time making plans for more than a few weeks at a time, because no one really knows what will happen. Here we are counting down to Christmas, when for many folks they cant imagine what Christmas will look like.

There is still time for things to pick up and for people to feel hopeful, but until then we all need to find a way to deal with what’s going on. Remember though that theres no right way to cope. Some are using their time to learn a new skill. Others are using the time to reconnect with family and friends. Some find that helping others is a good way to not feel so blah about the world. Whatever you do, be sure to find something that works for you.
